Compared with other types of motor, vane motor has the advantages of compact structure, small profile size, low noise, long life and so on, its inertia is smaller than the plunger motor, but the resistance to pollution is worse than the gear motor, and the rotational speed is not too high, generally in 200r/min below. Because of the large leakage, the vane motor is unstable when the load changes or at low speed.
In the the late 1850s, the initial low-speed high torque hydraulic motor was developed from a fixed rotor component of the oil pump, which consists of an internal gear ring and a matching gear or rotor. The inner gear ring is fixedly connected with the housing, and the oil entering from the inlet pushes the rotor around a central point to revolution. This slowly rotating rotor is driven by a spline shaft to output the cycloid hydraulic motor. The motor with roller can provide high starting and running torque, the rollers reduce the friction, thus increasing the efficiency, even at a very low speed, the output shaft can produce stable output. The motor is quickly reversed by changing the direction of the input/output flow and produces equal value torque in two directions.
